  • LES NORTON TV SERIES
Watch out for this one on the ABC, a TV series based on the Les Norton books that were written by Robert G Barret. The series will star Alexander Bertrand as Les Norton.
Alexander Bertrand is the guy in the Iron Jack beer ad that gets water off the barman for his dog before he has a beer. The show is due to premier sometime between August & November and if it is anything like the books it is sure to be a huge hit.

    The shows synopsis

Les Norton is set in 1985 and follows the exploits of Les Norton, a country bloke from outback Queensland, on the run from a troubled past. He arrives in Sydney, where he lands a job as a bouncer at an illegal casino. While he is desperate to return home, he finds himself seduced by the city's illicit charms and is dragged into the web of underground crime.

  • Sounds interesting @Drop-Bear - it's had two seasons over 3 years starting in 2016, yet this is the first I've heard of it!

7.7/10 on IMDB too, which isn't too bad

It was a good series, did MCL lose their collective pirate eye patches in the last few years?

I did hear a movie was shooting for it though ...

  • Ohhh I have been watching timeless when it comes on during the week. I am quite enjoying it, they're messing with historical accuracy, but it's a fun spin on the history.

  • I finally finished watching Season 3 of Designated Survivor. I got part way through the series and had to stop watching it because one of the characters' mother was dying and i just wasn't able to watch that.
